Reel Comfort: Community Health & Engagement Through Film

H’art Centre’s Able Artists series presents the interactive workshop, Reel Comfort: Community Health & Engagement Through Film on Tuesday, March 21st at 2 p.m. at THE BOX, 237 Wellington Street.

Delivered by Elysse Leonard, the Coordinator of Reel Comfort programme of the Toronto International Film Festival this session will provide a glimpse of TIFF’s Reel Comfort, a community outreach initiative that connects mental health clients and service providers to film via facilitated screenings and film-craft workshops.

The session will include a screening of short films shown in and created through the programme as well as a discussion of best practices for replicating this work in our own community. The workshop is free thanks to the support of the City of Kingston Arts Fund. To register: 613-545-1392.
