Bridging the Engineering Gap

As part of National Engineering Month, engineering students at St. Lawrence College are hosting a bridge building/breaking competition for local ScoutsCanada chapters.

Scouts of all ages have designed and built bridges out of popsicle sticks and glue. At the event, the bridges will be subjected to increasing weight from our breaking machine, until the bridges break.

All activities will be physics-related, in hopes of encouraging the next generation to pursue engineering as a career. All ages are welcome to attend, especially the children who may one day want to be involved in the world of engineering and technology.
