Mokoomba – Straight Out of Zimbabwe comes to the Grand Theatre on July 9th, 2014

Mokoomba were the 2013 Winners of Songlines magazines newcomer award. They make their stop in Kingston on July 9th as part of their worldwide tour that takes them to places in Europe, Asia, Australia and North America.

Mokoomba are known for signing in a lesser known style called Tonga which is the native language spoken in their homeland of Zimbabwe

Opening for Mokoomba is local artist Chaka Chikodzis band The Resolutionaries.

Tickets are $30 for adults and for people under 19 years of age are $20. Prices are plus HST and handling fees
