There’s no event quite like the Kingston Sheepdog Trials, and they’re coming back for a 28 year in August 2015.
It’s a very popular event in Kingston and it takes place at Grass Creek Park August 7th through August 9th.
There are shuttle buses to the event(all details on the website) with multiple pickups throughout the day from Toys R Us, the Memorial Centre and the Marriott.
Friday and Saturday have the Sheep Dog Trials Competition, with Sunday being the Double Lift final featuring 15 dogs. Be sure to bring your own chair.
There is a lot more going on than just the sheepdog trials of course. One of the most popular events is the Kingston Police K-9 Demonstrations. They are really cool to see and always get the kids talking. There is face painting each day, and the Bowmanville Zoo is there and offering pony rides along with their other animals.
