Canada Walks for Bladder Cancer

Canada Walks for Bladder Cancer

On Sunday, September 24th, the community will gather at MacDonald Memorial Park in Kingston to rally behind a noble cause: supporting bladder cancer patients, increasing public awareness, and boosting research initiatives. Bladder cancer, affecting over 80,000 Canadians and notorious for its high recurrence rate, stands as the most costly cancer to treat. The Bladder Cancer Canada’s fundraiser is dedicated to assisting patients and funding national grants to esteemed Canadian research centers, including the Queens University Cancer Research Institute. Attendees can look forward to an enlightening walk along the scenic Breakwater Park at 11 am. The day promises a blend of knowledge and support, starting with registration at 9 am, insightful opening remarks and a guest speaker at 10 am, and culminating with a delectable light lunch and refreshments post-walk.
