Combining the grace of poetry with the elegance of classical music, the charismatic and young pianist Tony Siqi Yun, a recent first prize winner at the 2019 First China International Music Competition and recipient of the 2023 Rheingau Music Festival’s LOTTO-Förderpreis, is set to captivate audiences with his upcoming recital. The program begins with the reflective tones of BACHBUSONI’s “Herr Gott, nun schleuß den Himmel auf”, BWV 617, followed by the divine tranquility of LISZT’s Bénédiction de Dieu dans la Solitude, S. 1733. The first half concludes with BEETHOVEN’s exuberant Sonata No.21 in C Major, Op. 53 “Waldstein”. After the intermission, the audience will be treated to BERIO’s Wasserklavier, leading up to the powerful crescendo of BRAHMS’ Piano Sonata No. 3 in f minor, Op. 5.
