The Fellowship of the Improv
Middle-earth is in peril… and only questionable improv decisions can save it.
Improv Kingston presents The Fellowship of the Improv, a Lord of the Rings–themed comedy adventure where epic fantasy collides with completely unscripted chaos. On Friday, March 6, brave (and deeply unserious) heroes gather at La Vida Bistrobar & Social to embark on a quest powered entirely by audience suggestions and wildly misplaced confidence.
From the Shire to Mordor — and undoubtedly several places Tolkien never intended — performers will conjure elves, hobbits, wizards, orcs, and mysterious creatures on the spot. No scripts. No rehearsals. Just a fellowship trying very hard to look heroic while making it up as they go.
Expect epic fantasy tropes joyfully derailed. Dramatic monologues that spiral out of control. Dark lords with surprisingly relatable problems. A fellowship that may or may not survive the second scene. And yes, there will probably be a ring. Whether it rules them all is another matter entirely.
Featuring a talented cast of local improvisers, this First Friday Show blends high fantasy with low wisdom and maximum mirth. Whether you’re fluent in Tolkien lore or simply in need of a good laugh, this show promises a legendary night out.
The quest begins the moment you take your seat.
