Spring into Summer Presented by Utilities Kingston

Kick off the warmer months with a bang at the “Spring Into Summer” event on May 18th at Lake Ontario Park, proudly presented by Utilities Kingston! This vibrant community celebration promises something for everyone, from dazzling fireworks to an array of live entertainment. Daytime activities from 1 to 6 p.m. include an exciting lineup of inflatables, rock climbing, and obstacle courses like the Safari Obstacle Course and Mega Slide. For the little ones, there’s a Multi-Activity Toddler Zone, Funhouse Maze, and two playgrounds to explore. Enjoy face painting, glitter tattoos, and a splash pad, while Kendall the Magician amazes from 2 to 4 p.m. The Kingston Frontenacs interactive booth and the IAMS for Life Caravan add to the fun. Don’t miss the Community Corridor, featuring local groups like the Blooms Skill Centre, Girl Guides, Not So Amateur Amateurs, and Tallack Martial Arts, all offering unique activities and goodies.

As the sun sets, the evening activities from 6 to 9:30 p.m. bring the energy to the Main-Stage. Catch Spectrum Voices at 6 p.m., followed by the dynamic band HoozHear? at 7 p.m., and the electrifying performance by Nice On from 8 to 9:30 p.m., culminating in a spectacular fireworks finale at 9:30 p.m. Enjoy Caribbean drumming and dancing by Fire10 Entertainment, martial arts demonstrations, and engaging storytime with Ruthy’s Reading Room. With food trucks, an ATM on-site, and the Utilities Kingston Water Buggy to keep you hydrated, this event has it all. Accessible parking is available, and for a stress-free commute, consider taking Kingston Transit to the park.
