Kids Clothing Swap

Sometimes the best things for our kids don’t come from a store… they come from a community.

The Kids Clothing Swap by PopCycle is a warm, welcoming, and practical event designed to help families save money, reduce waste, and support a local school — all while giving gently loved items a second life.

Taking place at Rideau Public School, this pop-up event brings together families, caregivers, and neighbours in a shared effort to keep kids’ essentials circulating right here in Kingston.

Browse through tables filled with pre-loved children’s clothing (sizes 0–14), books, and tiny toys, all thoughtfully organized and ready for their next home. Whether you’re preparing for a growth spurt, refreshing a wardrobe, or simply looking for a great deal, there’s something here for every stage of childhood.

What makes this event especially meaningful is its “pay what you can” model — making it accessible for all families, while ensuring that every dollar raised goes directly back to support the school. It’s a simple idea with a big impact: helping families, strengthening community, and supporting local education all at once.

Families are also encouraged to contribute by donating clean, gently used items ahead of the event. Donation drop-offs take place on May 7 and 8 from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, giving your children’s outgrown items a chance to become someone else’s perfect find.
