Hannibal Buress Live at The Spire
Acclaimed comedian, actor, writer and musician Hannibal Buress, live at The Spire in downtown Kingston on Wednesday, September 23, 2026.
Buress began attracting international attention following an appearance at Montreal’s Just for Laughs New Faces. That opportunity led to his first international television appearance on Late Night with Jörgen Raymann in the Netherlands and helped launch a wide-ranging entertainment career.
He went on to create several successful stand-up specials, including Animal Furnace, Live from Chicago, Hannibal Takes Edinburgh, Comedy Camisado and Miami Nights. In 2009, a last-minute booking on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon led to a meeting with Seth Meyers and an opportunity to write for Saturday Night Live.
Television audiences may recognize Buress as Lincoln, the laid-back dentist from Broad City. His other late-night appearances include Late Show with David Letterman, Conan, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.
Buress has also appeared in major films including Neighbors, Neighbors 2, Baywatch, Daddy’s Home, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home and Tag. His distinctive voice can be heard in animated favourites such as The Secret Life of Pets and The Angry Birds Movie.
In 2022, Buress expanded into music under the name Eshu Tune. His releases include “Veneers Remix” with Danny Brown and Paul Wall, the bowling-inspired “1-3 Pocket” and “I Lift Weights.” This musical evolution has added another dimension to a career already defined by sharp observations, unexpected ideas and a willingness to experiment.
Now, Kingston audiences can experience Hannibal Buress live in The Spire’s historic Performance Hall. Don’t miss this opportunity to see one of contemporary comedy’s most original voices in an intimate downtown venue.
