3rd Annual Summer Training Festival/Budo Camp

The 3rd Annual Summer Training Festival/Budo Camp is set to ignite the St. Lawrence College Gymnasium on June 7, 8, and 9th. This highly anticipated event will gather over 200 martial artists from around the globe for an action-packed weekend. Participants and spectators can look forward to a diverse range of activities, including a youth sparring tournament, board breaking contests, and impressive kata demonstrations. Esteemed masters will lead seminars in various martial arts styles, such as Sword Fighting, Karate, and Okinawan Weaponry, providing a unique opportunity for attendees to learn from the best. Adding to the excitement, the Tallack Martial Arts Chinese Lion Dance Team and Youth Demonstration Team will deliver captivating performances that highlight the rich cultural heritage of martial arts.

One of the event’s major highlights will be the inaugural Double Elimination Sparring Tournament for youth ages 6-17, promising thrilling matches and inspiring displays of skill and sportsmanship. For those interested in capturing the spirit of the festival, Saturday, June 8, offers prime photo and film opportunities. From 8:30 am to 11:30 am, local children will compete in the tournament and showcase their board-breaking prowess. The opening ceremony at 12:45 pm will feature a mesmerizing Chinese Lion Dance and notable speakers, while the afternoon will be filled with dynamic action shots and interviews with local organizers and visiting master instructors. On Sunday, June 9, interviews with these martial arts luminaries will be available from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, providing insights into their experiences and teachings.
