Kingston Pride

From June 11th to the 18th, the city of Kingston, Ontario, will be enlivened with a vibrant celebration of LGBTQ+ Pride. A time to celebrate diversity, encourage acceptance, and support equal rights, the Pride Festival invites all to take part in a week-long extravaganza that promises fun, inclusivity, and unity.

On June 11th, kickstart your celebration with a burst of energy at the Pride Run/Walk at John Machin Park. Sponsored by Cher-Mere Day Spa, the event starts at 10:00 am, perfect for embracing the spirit of unity and physical wellness.

Continue the revelries on June 12th, with the Queer Games Night at Kingston Gaming Nexus, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Whether you’re a hardcore gamer or a casual player, this is your chance to mingle and enjoy an evening of friendly competition.

The Pride Trivia Night on June 13th offers an opportunity to showcase your knowledge and learn more about LGBTQ+ history and culture.Three wonderful locations will host at 7:00pm Riverhead on the west end.

Fine balance on the east end.

June 14th presents an energetic Queer Volleyball event at LCVI Gym 3 from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm, courtesy of Kingston Queer Volleyball. Swing by to cheer or join in on the fun!

On June 15th, at dusk (~8:00pm), cozy up for a Movie in the Square at Springer Market Square, with a screening of “Rosie,” presented by Reelout & Downtown Kingston. If you’re in the mood to sing your heart out, join the Queer Karaoke Night at Daft Brewing from 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm, brought to you by The Beaver Lodge.

For an unforgettable experience on June 16th, set sail on the Out on the Queen Boat Cruise from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm, generously sponsored by Rogers Media. Round off the night with Beers For Queers at Montes @ Tir Nan Og from 9:00 pm onwards.

June 17th is packed with a smorgasbord of exciting events. The day commences at 10:00 am with a Community Fair at Confederation Park, complete with a Beer Garden and performances running until 6:00 pm. Don’t miss the Drag Storytime at Market Square Theatre from 10:30 am to 11:30 am, in partnership with KFPL.

The highlight of the day, the Pride Parade, will be held from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm along Princess Street. In the evening, get ready to groove with the Pride in the Square event, featuring a DJ, Concert, and a spectacular Drag Show, suitable for all ages.

Finally, on June 18th, wind down the festivities with a decadent Pride Drag Brunch at the Wharf and Feather from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm, hosted by the fabulous Rowena Whey.
