For eleven days this August, the Tett Centre for Creativity & Learning becomes Kingston’s home for fearless storytelling, unexpected laughs, thought-provoking drama, experimental theatre, and unforgettable performances as the TK Fringe Festival returns August 6 to 16, 2026.

Fringe festivals are unlike any other theatrical experience. They celebrate creativity without limits, giving audiences the chance to discover emerging artists alongside established performers while experiencing stories that challenge, entertain, inspire, and occasionally leave you wondering, “What did I just witness?” That’s exactly what makes Fringe so exciting.

This year’s festival features 17 original productions, each bringing its own unique perspective, style, and voice to the stage. Whether you’re drawn to comedy, drama, improvisation, musicals, horror, or deeply personal storytelling, there’s something waiting to surprise you.

The Silk Lining by Dan Walmsley – A chilling descent into cosmic horror where reality begins to unravel.

Who Is Esther by Randall Craig – A new urban musical celebrating hope and the power of one person to make a difference.

Let Us Sit In Goddamn Silence For One Hour by Matt Shepherd – A bold theatrical experiment that invites audiences to simply… sit together in silence.

Late Night: Improvised! – A fast-paced, completely improvised late-night talk show packed with games, comedy, and surprises.

NUTZ by Kate Barker – Friendship, resistance, and unexpected heroes collide in this darkly comic new work.

Speaking Vibrations – A powerful multidisciplinary performance exploring communication, movement, and human connection.

One of the greatest joys of Fringe is taking a chance on a show you’ve never heard of. Some performances will make you laugh until your face hurts. Others will challenge your perspective or leave you deep in conversation long after you’ve left the theatre. Every ticket supports independent artists who are pushing creative boundaries and bringing fresh ideas to Kingston’s arts community.

With performances taking place daily in RH Hall 203 and TK Studio 111 at the Tett Centre, audiences can catch a single show or build their own Fringe adventure by seeing several productions throughout the festival.
