The Bomb A Retro ’80s Live Experience

Ready to hear the soundtrack of your youth—live? The Bomb – A Retro ’80s Live Experience brings the sounds, style and energy of a much-loved decade to The Spire in Kingston on Saturday, September 26, 2026.

This touring tribute celebrates the New Wave radio hits and MuchMusic and MTV video anthems that helped define the 1980s. Think big choruses, unmistakable rhythms and the kind of songs that can transport you straight back to an old mixtape, a school dance or an evening spent waiting for your favourite video to appear on television.

The Bomb has entertained audiences at theatres and music festivals across Ontario. Dressed to embrace the decade, the band aims to recreate the excitement and atmosphere that made ’80s pop and rock so memorable. It is a night for singing along, sharing memories and enjoying the music with people who know exactly why you still love it.

Fans of Duran Duran, U2, Simple Minds and Tears for Fears will feel right at home. So will listeners whose playlists include David Bowie, Hall & Oates, Prince, The Cars, The Cure, A-ha, Depeche Mode and INXS. The show draws on an era when adventurous sounds, bold looks and unforgettable music videos filled both the airwaves and our imaginations.

Whether you grew up with these artists or discovered their music years later, The Bomb offers a chance to experience the decade in the company of a live band and a Kingston crowd. Bring the friends who used to swap mixtapes with you—or introduce someone new to the songs you have never stopped playing.

The performance begins at 8:00 p.m. at The Spire on Sydenham Street. Make a night of it in downtown Kingston, dress for the era if the mood strikes and get ready for a joyful trip through the music of the ’80s.

The Soundtrack of Your Youth…Live! is calling. Will you be there?
