The Arrogant Worms Free Community Concert

One of Canada’s most beloved comedy music acts is returning to Kingston for a special hometown-style performance packed with clever songs, absurd humour, and decades of fan-favourite chaos.

On Friday, June 12, The Arrogant Worms take the stage at The Spire for a free concert open to both the Queen’s and Kingston communities.

Originally formed at Queen’s University in 1991 by members of the student cabaret troupe The Queen’s Players, The Arrogant Worms quickly evolved from campus comedy project to one of Canada’s most recognizable musical comedy groups. Over the past three decades, the trio of Chris Patterson, Mike McCormick, and Trevor Strong has toured relentlessly across the country, released 13 albums, and built a devoted following through their brilliantly silly, endlessly quotable songs.

Their music has aired on radio stations across Canada, spread wildly across the internet, and even made its way into space aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour. Songs like “The Last Saskatchewan Pirate” have become cult Canadian classics, covered by artists including Captain Tractor and The Longest Johns, while their wildly popular “Happy Happy Birthday Song” has generated more than 100 million views through fan videos online.
