RoadTrip Music Festival Debuts in Kingston with Four Stages of Live Music and All-Day Downtown Celebrations
Get ready to discover your next favourite band as a brand-new music festival rolls into downtown Kingston this September. On Saturday, September 12, 2026, the inaugural RoadTrip Music Festival transforms the city’s core into a massive celebration of live music, local culture, and community, with four stages, dozens of performers, and an entire day of entertainment stretching from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
Centered around Springer Market Square and Princess Street, RoadTrip Music Festival promises to be one of Kingston’s biggest new music events. Designed to celebrate both emerging talent and unforgettable live performances, the festival invites music lovers to spend the entire day exploring downtown while discovering artists, enjoying local food and shopping, and soaking up the energy of a city-wide celebration.
The festival experience begins long before the headliners take the main stage. Throughout the day, Princess Street becomes a pedestrian-friendly destination filled with music and activity. Three outdoor street stages will showcase an exciting lineup of local and emerging artists, giving festival-goers the opportunity to experience a wide variety of musical styles while strolling through one of Ontario’s most vibrant downtowns.
Beyond the music, visitors can browse local vendors, discover handcrafted goods from artisan makers, enjoy delicious food from downtown restaurants and cafés, and connect with community organizations that help make Kingston such a dynamic place to live and visit. Whether you’re dancing in front of a stage, shopping between performances, or relaxing on a patio while live music fills the air, there’s something happening around every corner.
As the day unfolds, all roads lead to Springer Market Square, where the festival builds toward an evening of unforgettable performances in the heart of downtown. With four stages operating throughout the day, RoadTrip offers music fans the chance to create their own festival experience, moving from stage to stage and discovering new artists along the way.
The festival is produced by the Downtown Kingston Business Improvement Area, representing more than 700 businesses and property owners, in consultation with Flying V Productions and Steve Jordan, founder of the Polaris Music Prize. Together, they are launching what promises to become one of Kingston’s newest signature annual events.
Whether you’re passionate about live music, looking for a fun day out with family and friends, or simply want to experience downtown Kingston at its most energetic, the RoadTrip Music Festival offers an exciting new way to celebrate the city’s incredible arts and music community.
