Downtown Kingston is about to transform into a full-day celebration of football, culture, and community as Canada Celebrates FIFA World Cup Tour arrives at Springer Market Square on Saturday, June 27, 2026.

As one of only 34 selected communities across Canada chosen to host this nationwide celebration, Kingston will become part of a coast-to-coast World Cup experience designed to bring fans, families, and communities together through the excitement of the world’s biggest sporting event.

The historic downtown square will be transformed into an interactive FIFA World Cup™ Fan Zone, offering a full day of free family-friendly programming and activities celebrating the spirit of the beautiful game.

Visitors can take in a live FIFA World Cup™ match screening surrounded by fellow fans, creating the kind of electric atmosphere usually reserved for stadiums and major host cities. Whether you’re a lifelong football supporter or simply love the excitement of major international events, the fan zone promises an energetic and welcoming experience for all ages.

Beyond the big screen action, guests can jump into interactive football activities on a pop-up pitch featuring games and challenges designed for kids, families, and casual players alike.
