Butter Tart Shoot
Clay targets, friendly competition, and a little Canadian flair — the annual Butter Tart Shoot is back and ready to launch 100 targets into the sky.
Taking place on March 28 at 9:00 AM, this popular trap and skeet event invites shooters of all skill levels to test their aim in a relaxed, community-driven competition. Whether you’re chasing bragging rights, sharpening your skills, or just looking for a fun morning outdoors, the Butter Tart Shoot delivers a great mix of sport and camaraderie.
Participants will take on 100 targets in either trap or skeet, with prizes awarded to all competitors. Alongside the shooting competition, there will be raffles, prize draws, and lunch — making this more than just a sporting event. It’s a social gathering for enthusiasts who appreciate a good shot and good company.
This event is open to non-members, provided participants hold a valid PAL (Possession and Acquisition Licence) and bring their own shotgun. Safety and responsible firearm handling are, of course, a top priority throughout the day.
With a modest entry fee and plenty of opportunities to win prizes (or at least earn some friendly bragging rights), this annual shoot has become a spring tradition for many in the Kingston area.
Sharpen your focus, bring your steady hand, and get ready to break some clays.
