2025 Tett Artist Residency Showcase

Step inside the creative heartbeat of Kingston’s waterfront arts hub and discover what happens when time, space, and curiosity collide. The 2025 Tett Artist Residency Showcase invites the public into the Tett Gallery for a week-long group exhibition celebrating the work of this year’s Artists in Residence: Jabra Mitwasi, Erin Kennedy, Ro Grant, and Callia Silverton.

Running from January 27 to February 2, this exhibition offers a rare glimpse into the evolution of artistic ideas developed during the residency program. From expressive painting to kinetic and sculptural works, the showcase highlights a diverse range of contemporary practices, united by experimentation, reflection, and a deep engagement with process.

Each artist brings a distinct voice and approach, resulting in a dynamic exhibition that rewards close looking and invites conversation. Whether you’re drawn to bold visual statements, subtle movement, or thoughtful material exploration, this showcase reflects the breadth of creativity nurtured within the Tett Centre’s residency program.

The public is warmly invited to attend the Opening Reception on Tuesday, January 27, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM, an opportunity to meet the artists, connect with fellow art lovers, and celebrate the culmination of months of creative work in a relaxed and welcoming setting.

Whether you’re a regular gallery-goer, a supporter of local artists, or simply curious to explore new ideas, the 2025 Tett Artist Residency Showcase offers an inspiring way to experience Kingston’s vibrant contemporary arts scene.
