KATAROKWI INDIGENOUS ART AND FOOD MARKET

Springer Square will be filled with the color and vibrancy of the Katarokwi Indigenous Art and Food Market,Every Sunday from June 4 through September 24.

Each vendor brings their distinctive touch to the market. W.C. Creatives showcases a range of handcrafted art that captures the spirit of Indigenous heritage. Alyssa Bardy Photography brings stunning visual narratives through her lens, offering a piece of Indigenous life and landscapes for your home. Dream Creations offers an array of imaginative designs, while Sew Creative by Jen impresses with their unique clothing designs and accessories.

Flint and Maple Beadwork crafts intricate jewelry pieces, showcasing traditional Indigenous techniques and motifs, while Indigenous Revelations offers unique, culturally-inspired home d├ęcor items. L and B Native Crafts provides a plethora of crafts, perfect for gifts or keepsakes. 4 Crazy Crows presents a collection of artisanal wares with a touch of whimsy.

Stonecrop Farm is not only an artwork vendor but also a steward of Indigenous farming methods and traditions. Theresa Brant Studio will bring you an assortment of paintings that reflect Indigenous storytelling and mythology. Miigwans Creations offers an array of crafts, each with a story to tell, while Nish Bish Designs impresses with its contemporary Indigenous fashion. Lastly, Melanie Howard De Clou booth is Turtle Island Snacks and Fine Food, and we sell a variety of Indigenous-produced food products, to promote Indigenous small business and their quality products to the Kingston market.
For food lovers, Cadue’s First Foods serves traditional Indigenous dishes, freshly prepared each Sunday, allowing you to taste the rich culinary traditions of the Indigenous community.

Coordinated by RIEL Cultural Consulting, with support from Tourism Kingston and the City of Kingston, the Katarokwi Indigenous Art and Food Market embodies the city’s commitment to its Creative Industries Strategy. This initiative aims to promote Kingston as a destination of choice for creative industry producers and consumers.
