We live in a world where most friendships are held together through social media and online profiles – yet we rarely see any deep and personal changes shared via social media. That’s what Allen Barton is exploring in the dark comedy Years to the Day – the collision of these relationships.
It’s about two men in their 40s. They’ve been friends for decades however over the past few years have only been in touch through social media. After four years they get together for coffee – but this face to face meeting has some surprising consequences with all of the deep and personal changes in their lives revealed. Will the long term friendship between the two survive?
