U-TURN: Revisiting a Canadian classic

The KCFF will be screening the 1973 classic, U-Turn at the Baby Grand on March 2nd.

Scott, a smug Montreal lawyer, searches for the girl of his dreams whom he met briefly four summers previously, when she was in a sports car on a tiny ferry going to an island in the St. Lawrence. Meanwhile, his girlfriend Bonnie is pressuring him to marry her.

This screening will include an extended Q+A with screenwriter Doug Bowie, filmmaker Clarke Mackey and Piers Handling to discuss U-TURN and the changing landscape of Canadian film since its initial release.
