Snow Much Fun

Snow Much Fun takes place from December 9th to December 11th.

December 9:

Holiday Market opens at 5 p.m. in Memorial Hall.
Entrance to the market is by donation to Almost Home and all persons giving a donation with be given a ballot to enter to win $100 Downtown Dollars compliments of Downtown Kingston BIA

Story time with Mayor Paterson at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers. ASL interpretation will be provided. First Snow by author Nancy Viau. All children attending Story Time with Mayor Paterson can enter a draw to win First Snow which they can take home with them that evening

DJ skate (weather permitting) on the Market Square Rink with Chico and the Machine from 5 – 8 p.m. The rink will be lighted by NOC Visual Alternatives.

Skate rentals – Trailhead Kingston, 262 Princess Street Phone: 613-546-4757. Rentals available Monday to Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cost: $10 for 3 hours or $12 for overnight rental

Caroling by Kingston Carollers from 6 – 8 p.m.

Silent Auction (proceeds to Almost Home) in Memorial Hall

Wagon Rides (White Rides) Boarding and departing on Ontario Street in front of City Hall 5 to 8 p.m.

Downtown Kingston ‘Festive Fridays’. Participating stores open until 8 p.m. (Downtown Kingston BIA)

FREE Trolley rides at the Visitor Information Centre from 5 to 8 p.m. (Downtown Kingston BIA)

Make a Holiday Wish (City Hall)

December 10:

Holiday Market opens at 9 a.m. in Memorial Hall. Entrance to the market is by donation to Almost Home. All persons giving a donation with be given a ballot to enter to win $100 Downtown Dollars compliments of Downtown Kingston BIA

Santa’s workshop from 12 to 5 p.m. sponsored by the Home Depot. Located in Montes at the Tir Nan Og. Room for 60 people at one time. Patrons can order food and drinks. Kids can make a gift (kit provided by Home Depot) to keep for themselves or give as a gift

Ugly Holiday Sweater Skate from 1 to 2 p.m., Springer Market Square Rink. Dawn those ugly holiday sweaters and join us in Springer Market Square for some festive fun. All skaters wearing an ugly holiday sweater can enter to win a $50 gift card compliments of Smith Army Surplus

The Thirsty Elf outdoor lounge experience in Springer Market Square by the amphitheatre. Hosted by the Merchant. Adirondack chairs, fire pits, live entertainment and of course – drinks to warm your gullet and gizzard. 12 to 5 p.m.

1 p.m. – Buck’s Moonlight Revival
2 p.m. – Danielle Hope
3 p.m. – Frank Ryan
4 p.m. – Room Tone Jazz

Mrs. Claus’s Kitchen from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. or while supplies last. Located in Montes at the Tir Nan Og. Room for 60 people at one time. Decorate a sugar cookie with festive coloured frosting. One cookie per child. Patrons are welcome to order food and drinks.
