Music on the Dock Festival

1000 Islands Playhouse presents a brand new festival, the Music on the Dock Festival.

Violinist James Ehnes with pianist Andrew Armstrong

Beethoven Sonatas for Violin & Piano: James Ehnes has established himself as one of the most sought after violinists on the international stage. A part of the inaugural Music on the Dock Festival hosted by the Thousand Islands Playhouse.

Pianist Angela Hewitt

The Complete Goldberg Variations (Aria and 30 Variations), BWV 988, by J.S. Bach One of the world’s leading pianists, Angela Hewitt interpretations of Bach have established her as one of the composer’s foremost interpreters of our time. A part of the inaugural Music on the Dock Festival hosted by the Thousand Islands Playhouse.

Friday August 2 @ 2pm
Tenor Ben Heppner: In Conversation with Eric Friesen

A free-ranging and entertaining conversation with one of the greatest tenors Canada has ever produced. Ben will share moving and hilarious stories about his upbringing on a farm, his rise to the highest ranks of the international opera world, the decision to end his opera career, and his post-singing career as a CBC Radio host. And we’ll see if we can coax him into singing just a little bit for us… A part of the inaugural Music on the Dock Festival hosted by the Thousand Islands Playhouse.

The Limestone Trio

A string trio comprised of members of the Kingston Symphony playing an exciting selection of classical music, fun rags, and fiddle tunes. Featuring Lisa Draper, Jeff Hamacher, and Danielle Lennon. A part of the inaugural Music on the Dock Festival hosted by the Thousand Islands Playhouse.

Saturday August 3 @ 7pm
Julia Finnegan

Kingston indie-folk singer-songwriter Julia Finnegan will play a “sunset set” full of unique covers and her original songs. A part of the inaugural Music on the Dock Festival hosted by the Thousand Islands Playhouse.

Sunday August 4 @ 12:30pm
Gananoque Ukulele Players

Join local ukulele players jamming to toe-tapping tunes on the dock. A part of the inaugural Music on the Dock Festival hosted by the Thousand Islands Playhouse.

Pianist Janina Fialkowska

French Program ‘‘Les sons et les parfums’’ (Mozart, Debussy, Chopin) For over 40 years, Janina Fialkowska has been praised for her musical integrity, her refreshing natural approach, and her unique piano sound. A part of the inaugural Music on the Dock Festival hosted by the Thousand Islands Playhouse.
