Clarinetist and Queen’s faculty member, Kornel Wolak, joins the Isabel Quartet in performing two great works for clarinet and string quartet: the lyrical Glazunov, Nocturne, and the towering Brahms Clarinet Quintet. In addition to Haydn’s Opus 20, No. 6 in A Major, the concert includes a performance of Madra by Bruce A. Russell (aka El Mahboob), a Toronto-based composer who was born in Kingston in 1968.
