International Women’s Day: ‘I’m a Survivor’ Fundraising Event

The virtual International Women’s Day: ‘I’m a Survivor’ event takes place on Sunday, March 7th.

The theme of the event, “I’m a Survivor,” is meant to recognize the fact that we have survived 2020 and all of the struggles it threw at us. Now, we are coming together (while still remaining apart) to celebrate and recognize as many amazing local women as possible.

The virtual event will take place on Sunday, March 7th on Zoom hosted by Shari Doherty, owner of Stage One Real Estate. It will start off with the launch of a virtual market, featuring products made and sold by local makers and business women – many of which will be featured in the fashion show.

This market will only be available to ticket holders on March 7th and will open to the public on March 8th, staying open until March 14th. The virtual event will then feature a talk from a local business woman, reveal the winner of the “2020 Survivor” award, and a draw for the Grand Door Prize (a compilation of prizes donated by our vendors and other members of the community).

The “2020 Survivor” Award will recognize local women who have shown resilience over the past year. The Top 10 Nominees will be given the opportunity to model in the fashion show and will be entered for the chance to win a $500 cash prize and gift basket. To finish off the event, local musician Teagan McLaren will perform.
