Matar A Jesus is screening as part of The Isabel Human Rights Arts Festival.

Film synopsis:

The film tells the story of a photographer whose father is killed by an assassin, whom she later gets to know. In this youthful revenge saga based on true events, an idealistic Colombian student witnesses her father’s murder and is aghast at the ineptitude and apathy of the local police force. Time to take matters into her own hands. The story is based on the biography of Laura Mora who’s father was killed in Medellín. The film shortlisted to be the Colombian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 91st Academy Awards.
