It’s time for the 5th Climb for the Cure – an event ran by the Boiler Room once a year.
This great fundraiser supports the Canadian Cancer Society – specifically, the Frontenac Lennox and Addington Branch of it so you know you’re supporting a local charity.
Everyone is welcome to take part. You just have to raise at least $100 in pledges, then you get to climb the chimney which is 100 foot. This is the highest indoor climb in the hole of Canada.
The climbs begin at 9am and go all the way to 6pm. You need to register to secure a time slot. There are also other contests and challenges such as pull ups and rope coiling.
If this isn’t up your alley don’t worry – there is more to enjoy such as a bake sale, face painting, a pancake breakfast, a BBQ lunch and much more.
