The Partners in Mission Annual Food Blitz is taking place on Saturday, May 6th.
There will be teams of volunteers at 9 grocery stores in the area. They’ll be asking shoppers at those stores to take a food bank bag then fill it with as mch needed food items as possible, to get them through the summer months.
Summer is a very important time for the food drive as demand is still very high during that period.
It’s from 10am until 5pm and takes place the following grocery stores:
Bennett’s Value-Mart (Gore Road)
Foodland (Amherstview)
Freshco (Princess Street)
Gord and Kim’s No Frills (Coverdale Drive)
Grant’s No Frills (Division Street)
Loblaws (Princess Street & Midland Avenue)
Metro (Gardiner’s Road & Bayridge Plaza)
